Your data. Your device.
Nobody else's.

Honk builds apps that keep what's yours where it belongs — on your own device, in your own iCloud, under your own control. No accounts on our servers. No tracking. No one renting you back access to your own life.

No servers No tracking No lock-in Yours, end to end

The internet decided your data was its product. We disagree.

Most apps treat the details of your life as their asset — to harvest, to profile, to sell, and to hold for ransom behind a subscription. We build the opposite: software where your data is yours by architecture, not by promise.

It lives on your device

Your data is created and stored on your Mac or iPhone and in your own iCloud Drive — not on a Honk server, because there isn't one. We can't read it, sell it, or lose it. There's nothing to breach.

You manage it

Move it, copy it, back it up, or delete it — entirely on your terms. No login gates your own files. Cancel anything and nothing breaks; your data was never being held hostage in the first place.

You can trace it

Clear provenance. You always know what was captured, from where, and when — and we're honest about what isn't included. No silent collection, no fine print, no surprises.

A small, growing family of apps

Different jobs, one principle: the data is yours. We start small and add apps only when they earn their place.

More apps coming

In the works

We're building more tools that follow the same rule: your data, your device, your control. New apps land here as they're ready — and never a moment before.

Same principle. More of your life, kept yours.

"Your data stays yours" isn't a slogan. It's the architecture.

It isn't a line on a privacy page we hope you don't read. It's how the apps are physically built.

1

Made on your device

Apps read and create your data locally — on your Mac or iPhone — never routing it through a Honk backend. There is no backend.

2

Synced through your iCloud

When it moves between your devices, it travels through your iCloud account — Apple's encryption, your Apple ID. We're not in the path and never see it.

3

Controlled by you

Keep it, export it, move it, or delete it anytime. There's no Honk copy to forget about, leak, lock, or monetise.

What you're used to vs. how Honk works

The standard tech bargain asks you to trade your data and your freedom for convenience. We don't think you should have to.

The usual deal The Honk way
Your data sits on their servers It stays on your device and in your iCloud
Your behaviour is profiled and sold Nothing is collected, so there's nothing to sell
Locked into one app's walled garden Open formats — leave anytime, take it with you
Pay a subscription to reach your own data Your files are always yours, free to open
Company shuts down — your data goes with it No server to switch off; your data outlives us

This isn't a fringe worry. The data-broker market sits at roughly $315 billion in 2026, built almost entirely on turning ordinary people's behaviour into a product. The old saying still holds: if you're not paying for the product, you are the product. Honk's apps just aren't built that way.

We can't misuse what we never hold

No Honk servers. No analytics. No tracking. No ads. No data collection. The most private architecture is the one where your information simply never reaches us — and that's the only kind we know how to build.

No servers No analytics No tracking No ads No data brokers
