Honk builds apps that keep what's yours where it belongs — on your own device, in your own iCloud, under your own control. No accounts on our servers. No tracking. No one renting you back access to your own life.
Most apps treat the details of your life as their asset — to harvest, to profile, to sell, and to hold for ransom behind a subscription. We build the opposite: software where your data is yours by architecture, not by promise.
Your data is created and stored on your Mac or iPhone and in your own iCloud Drive — not on a Honk server, because there isn't one. We can't read it, sell it, or lose it. There's nothing to breach.
Move it, copy it, back it up, or delete it — entirely on your terms. No login gates your own files. Cancel anything and nothing breaks; your data was never being held hostage in the first place.
Clear provenance. You always know what was captured, from where, and when — and we're honest about what isn't included. No silent collection, no fine print, no surprises.
Different jobs, one principle: the data is yours. We start small and add apps only when they earn their place.
Your trips, organised on your device. Forward a booking and it's parsed and filed locally — flights, hotels, cars and more — without your itinerary ever living on someone else's server.
Keep your Messages history, safely. The free Mac app archives and reads your conversations into a bundle in your own iCloud Drive — full-text search, every attachment, verified. Your original Messages are never touched.

It isn't a line on a privacy page we hope you don't read. It's how the apps are physically built.
Apps read and create your data locally — on your Mac or iPhone — never routing it through a Honk backend. There is no backend.
When it moves between your devices, it travels through your iCloud account — Apple's encryption, your Apple ID. We're not in the path and never see it.
Keep it, export it, move it, or delete it anytime. There's no Honk copy to forget about, leak, lock, or monetise.
The standard tech bargain asks you to trade your data and your freedom for convenience. We don't think you should have to.

This isn't a fringe worry. The data-broker market sits at roughly $315 billion in 2026, built almost entirely on turning ordinary people's behaviour into a product. The old saying still holds: if you're not paying for the product, you are the product. Honk's apps just aren't built that way.
No Honk servers. No analytics. No tracking. No ads. No data collection. The most private architecture is the one where your information simply never reaches us — and that's the only kind we know how to build.
